Minimal Essentials seems to be the talk in January, so I thought I would do a little research and tell you what I found. Vogue had one of the best articles on how to build your own minimal wardrobe, and here are my Top 3 from this blog:

The Quintessential Coat

Vogue states:

“The prime example of an investment that will never go out of style is the classic beige Burberry trench.”

After the cold weather in Austin this winter already, I believe this is a true statement.  I could have worn this trench multiple times over the past few years right here in Texas! Plus, with all the travels to other parts of the country where it does get chilly, this would be perfect. I would prefer a black one, and even like a cloak idea.  This is a classic piece too!

The Cozy-Chic Knit Dress

Wearing a snug fitting knit dress not only keeps you warm, but it’s pretty sexy too!  Perfect for a date night with my husband. Knee boots are a perfect accessory with these dresses, and I have a great blog here on other looks with knee high boots.

The Thong Sandal

“A flip-flop is an iconic style that can be surprisingly chic. Look for elevated details like square-toe soles, thin straps, or buttery leathers.”

It is hard to think about sandals when it’s so cold, but I sure do love them in the warm weather.  I have a great blog about sandals here.
